Seraja - The Event Web is born

Conceived as a path-breaker portal, SEraja harnesses Web 2.0 and other experiential
computing concepts to allow users a ´near real´ experience of even remote,
time-displaced events. pepper square was asked to create the User Interface
(UI) for this future-proof event web.
Challenge

Outcome
pepper square completed the portal well under the assigned budget and within
the scheduled time. A beta version of SEraja was released and went through
multiple iterations as it included mobile technologies to capture and distribute
events. The site is currently in the Computer Sciences Department of the University
of California, Irvine, where it is being developed further.

The client is a fast-emerging software development firm targeting
clients across US, Europe and Asia-Pacific.
Challenge
pepper square was approached to help the client define its
total online communication campaign starting from the development
of the company brand name to the creation of marketing collaterals
and corporate website, and subsequent support and maintenance activities.
Execution
The project was executed on a Build-Operate-Transfer basis,
where a dedicated team was put in place drawing resources from
the creative, software development and interactive marketing teams.
The project involved brand positioning, collateral development,
website development and maintenance, and secure environment blog
deployment. The website was also optimized for search engines to
ensure increased visibility.
Benefits
The new brand visibility that Iteamic gained following the development
of the website, blog and collaterals resulted in industry recognition
and helped build a credible client base. The SEO implementation found
Iteamic competitively listed on all major search engines, and support
and maintenance for the project resulted in smooth transition.

Interactive portal application development

The client is one of the largest Christian online publications in
the US with over 45,000 subscribers and growing.
Challenge
pepper square had to develop a portal application for the client
that was still in the ideation stage. The application would involve
login options for pastors to post their daily devotionals for
their congregation. The concept had to be developed and implemented
in the design and development of the application. Third party
tools would be involved in the development and the idea had to be
expanded across other services.
Execution
1. The storyboard and wireframe for the portal were developed with
additional community services integrated for the users to choose from.
2. Login for administrators and the pastors to manage and
upload devotionals and value added services respectively
was created.
3. Tools used: ASP.NET, VB.NET, MS SQL, LISTSERV.
Benefits
1. The enhanced features in the portal guaranteed a larger user
base for the client.
2. Users had the flexibility in managing the content that was
uploaded on the portal.
3. The entire process for delivering online daily devotionals was
streamlined for a faster and economical flow.

e-business portal development

The client is a US-based online reverse auction service provider
for merchants, sales representatives, processors and financial
institutions.
Challenge
pepper square had to collate, restructure and categorize the
extensive information available for the portal and integrate this
with the UI design. The design and navigation had to be developed
for an audience that would not be entirely IT-savvy. The various
modules for the portal had to be developed and executed at the same
time. The portal UI design had to be scalable to incorporate new
business modules in the future.
Execution
1. The navigation and flow for various modules in the portal were
developed based on the information architecture (IA).
2. The UI design for the portal was developed using HTML,
CSS and Java script. Adobe Photoshop was used by the visualizers
for UI conceptualization.
3. The HTML integration by pepper square was followed by integration
of the UI with the client's application.
4. Basic search engine optimization (SEO) strategy was executed
for the portal with provision for developing a search engine
marketing (SEM) strategy in the future.
Benefits
1. The client received a portal withn enhanced features that
made it extremely usable and presentable.
2. The UI was designed to be a scalable model for any future
module upgrades.
