pepper square was one of five firms in India to participate in a cross-cultural project 'Relationship Quality and Job Performance: A Field Study.' The project undertaken by Sreedhari Desai and Maija Reblin from David Eccles School of Business, University of Utah, examines the role of work-place relationships in mitigating stress at work.
"This study proposes to test workplace relationships by measuring relationship quality, support, and job performance of members of work-groups within an organization. We want to find out if wholly supportive or ambivalent coworker relationship ties are better suited for performance," explained Sreedhari. Part of the Organizational Behavior division at David Eccles, Sreedhari has received several grants including one from the NSE in 2005.
"We are excited that Sreedhari and Maija chose pepper square. Our informal atmosphere along with a 360° feedback process means we look beyond hierarchies to focus on delivering top quality services," said Jyoti Pahadsingh, VP, Corporate Strategy.
"Bottom line? The tremendous energy and team spirit in the office is because we love what we do," said another employee. The study, expected to be completed in 16 months, will be published in top academic publications and business journals, in the US.
pepper square is an online communications firm headquartered in Bangalore with an additional office in Coimbatore.
